One of Northern Ireland’s largest independent builders’ merchants, Haldane Fisher, has had two of its branches shortlisted for the Northern Ireland Regional Award at the Octabuild Builders Merchant Excellence Awards 2022.
The awards celebrate brilliance and best practice amongst merchants across Northern Ireland and Ireland, with Haldane Fisher in both Newry and Castle Street Portadown making the final shortlist.
Haldane Fisher employees, Mark Nicholson from Newry, and Anthony Smith from Castle Street Portadown, have also been nominated for the Rising Star Award, which recognises the employee’s dedication to the trade.

Shortlisted branches will be judged on five key areas, including business management, customer service, marketing, and sustainability. Ray Molyneux, Chairman of Octabuild, recognises the importance of promoting excellence amongst businesses in the construction industry. The winners will be announced at an awards ceremony on 13th October.
